Where we are…
We are grateful to all of you for your continued support. We are proud to announce that the Kigezi Women Community Center is now complete as a structure.!
The center will serve as a vocational school, a library, a small clinic and a gathering place for the women and their children.
What we need
The Community Center will help Kigezi women achieve and refine skills that will pave their path out of poverty. We need an infrastructure that will bring a technological advancement never seen in a village.
1. Solar panels, supplies, to power the entire center and electric sewing machines - $ 8,000
2. Plumbing and interior finishing phase, doors - $ 6,000
3. Rain harvesting system with 2 ten thousand liter water tanks - $ 3,000
4. Four modern electric sewing machines - $ 1,200
The future
Kakore is the village in southern Uganda where the Community Center will be built. A place where the beauty of the environment clashes with the extreme poverty of its population. A place where little Confidence lives. A big thank you for your help from her.
