P7 Students Tutoring Program

Our pioneer students

The reason.

In Uganda, education is a fundamental pathway for children living in rural villages to break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future for themselves and their families. The reality is, however, that many of the children living in rural Uganda often lack the resources and support they need to prepare and pass their Primary Leaving Examination (PLE), compared to their peers who live in the cities.

To address this challenge, Kigezi Women and Children Health Initiative has launched a project aimed at providing children living in the villages of Kakore and Nangara with the resources and support they need to prepare for the PLE. The project involves tutoring students during weekends and school breaks, revising past exams by qualified elementary school teachers, and accessing resources like textbooks and study materials.

Your donations will cover the costs for teachers’ salaries, study materials, rent of the facilities where the training will take place, and the meals for the students.

Education is the key to unlocking a better future for these students, and we must do everything we can to support them on their journey.

Any amount you can give is a step towards a better future for many children in South Uganda. Thank you
